NOTICE

Court appoints Liquidators of Cabor Trustees Limited

At a hearing before Mr Justice Butler, at the Supreme Court today the petition presented by the Financial Services Commission for the winding up of Cabor Trustees Limited was granted at the Supreme Court and Mr Frederick White and Mr Joseph Canilla were appointed as Joint Liquidators.

The application, made under the provisions of the Financial Services Commission Act 2007 came some fifteen months after the FSC cancelled the firm’s licence on the 8th February 2010 and appointed an Authorised Administrator to take control of the firm to protect its client’s interests.

In the intervening period the Authorised Administrator has been responsible for client affairs and the transfer of a large number of trusts to other service providers and the administration of the remaining trusts.

Reacting to this Mr Marcus Killick, the Commission’s CEO stated;

“The issues we have had to deal with in Cabor have been very much more challenging than in other parts of the Gibland group and we are therefore satisfied that we have made every effort possible to accommodate former clients of Cabor in the transfer of their business to other service providers.

I would like to publicly thank Mr Freddie White and his team for their efforts in the Administration which I believe has been handled in a most professional and competent manner.” ”
